The cutting cone is very different from that of other juicers. It is made of nylon on a metal shaft. The blades are not sharp like that of centrifugal juicers. This is because this juicer does not work by cutting the produce. It is a low speed masticating juicer in which the food is forced around the cone. The cone splits the pulp and squeezes the juicer from it. As a result you get oxidation free juice that is high in nutrients. There is a blank that you can slide in to make nut butters, baby food etc.
It is not a self feeding juicer. You have to push the produce through the feeding tube with a plunger to get the cone into action.
